I discovered these cardboard suspension files discarded after an office relocation and was immediately drawn to the primary colours and utilitarian nature of their original purpose.
Transformed into three-dimension assemblages which appear to push out from the wall upon which they hang, I was inspired by organic curves and wave forms which create an appealing fluidity to each work and which the material naturally lent itself to.
In addition, there is a sense of weight to the pieces created through an exploration of solid and void and is in contrast to the very lightweight reality of the material itself.
